1. The design
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 takes some of the design of the Galaxy S8. It is larger, however, with more angular corners.
2. The screen
It is equipped with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display. As on the S8, the slab occupies a large part of the facade, with very thin edges.
3. The photo modules
The Galaxy Note 8 incorporates two photo sensors 12 Mpix. The first is equipped with Dual Pixel technology for a very fast focus. The second focal length is narrower and dedicated to portrait mode. A function similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus.
4. The OS
Note 8 runs Android 7.1.1, with the Samsung Experience overlay. For the moment, the brand has not yet specified a date for the transition to Android Oreo.
5. The stylus
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 marks the return of the stylus in France. The latest device in the Note range was the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, released in late 2014.
6. The functions associated with the stylus
Called S Pen, the stylus allows you to take screenshots by selecting a specific area, or to create animated images.
7. A better S Pen
The tip of the S Pen is only 0.7 mm thick. It is waterproof (IP68) and detects 4096 pressure levels.
8. Everything for creative people
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 also allows for coloring. The user can share his creations on an application called PENUP.
9. The price
Launched September 15 at 1009 $, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is sold 100 $ more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 + (909 $) and 200 $ more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 (809 $).
10. Shock equipment
All three cameras are powered by the Exynos 8895 2.3GHz processor. The S8 and S8 + have 4 GB of RAM, against 6 GB for Note 8. All have 64 GB of storage.
